About Me.
I'm Melanie Ann. I am a proud disciple of Jesus, a devoted mother, a businesswoman, an advocate, and a creator in my soul. For 20 years, I've built a career in the corporate world and ventured into entrepreneurial pursuits along the way. While raising my son, building businesses, and anchoring every season of life in my faith in Jesus, my journey has been anything but ordinary. It's been marked by trials, tribulations, and unexpected twists, which have created resilience, joy, and plenty of moments filled with laughter.
This space is more than a brand; it's a window into the many pieces of my story. From the consulting work that helps businesses thrive, to the podcast that explores faith, love, healing, and friendship, to the advocacy born from both survival and hope, to the creative ventures that turn hardship into beauty, and the book I'm writing to share it all. Laugh Lines & Life Lines: A Journey with Cam & Mel, is a heartfelt project born from the lifelong friendship between Cam and me. Together, we share real conversations about the paths we've taken, motherhood, business, advocacy, faith, and personal growth and how those paths have shaped us into the women we are today.
Cam brings the wisdom of a decade long partnership, raising three children and building a beautiful life with her family in Boulder, Colorado. A former competitive swimmer who nearly went to the Olympics and soon to be wifey to an amazing CFO, she knows first-hand the discipline and resilience it takes to grow through challenges. Her insight into long-term commitment, healing, perseverance and building a strong family offers wisdom and hope.
My journey has looked very different. I've been divorced since 2013 and in 2019 I experienced domestic abuse. Which led me to a season of healing journey rebuilding, growing, and experiencing life through a new perspective. Over the last four years, I stepped back into dating as a single mother, finding both humor, heartbreak, and wisdom along the way. Though love hasn't turned out the way I hope just yet, I've discovered that even when relationships end, growth and healing always remain.
At the heart of our podcast is our shared belief that faith, personal growth, the right community and support lead to healthy more fulfilled relationships and life. Together we open the door to conversations that are honest, raw, funny, and hopeful reminding our listeners, you're not walking your journey alone.

Community Service & Advocacy
A voice for the voiceless
My calling to serve others comes from both survival and determination to break generational cycles and make a positive impact on my community. Growing up, I witnessed unhealthy relationships, addiction, and violence, which are patterns I refused to repeat. Today, I'm proud that my son is growing up in an environment of faith and stability, proof that healing and new legacies are possible.
This passion for transformation led me to years of community service, including volunteering in programs that support children and families, including serving as a court appointed special advocate for children in foster care, specifically those with special needs. Walking alongside them affirmed my belief that every child deserves safety, stability, and a voice in shaping their future.
My work also extended into domestic abuse advocacy. As a survivor who stood up to my abuser in court, I know how critical it is for victims to have champions, who can both guide and protect them. These experiences fuel my vision for change. One where adolescent education includes not only sexual health, but also healthy relationship dynamics, red and green flags, mental health awareness, and a safe exit strategy from abusive relationships.
All these experiences have inspired me to pursue my Juris Doctorate (JD) and become a practicing attorney. Once completed, I will dedicate pro bono work to survivors of abuse and children in foster care, especially those with special needs.
Book – A Journey Through the Cards Dealt
A Story where all one can say is ... BUT GOD
My upcoming book tells the story of the cards I was dealt in childhood and how those early struggles shaped my journey into adulthood. It also explores how the cards I was dealt in adulthood shaped my mindset for the rest of my life. It is a testimony of pain transformed into resilience, and brokenness made whole through faith, intentional work to heal, and finding peace and joy. Page by page, I share how God met me in the hardest places and guided me toward healing, purpose, and strength.
This book is not just my story; it is an offering of hope for anyone who has faced hardship and longs to see how faith in Jesus Christ can turn even the most difficult paths into testimonies of redemption and grace. It is also a guide on how to do the work necessary to become the best version of yourself and the person God has called you to be.
Scheduled for release in the fall of 2028, my goal is for this book to serve as both a story and a resource, helping readers see that no matter the hand we are dealt, God has the final say in how our story unfolds.

Vocalist and Producer
Music runs deep in my story. It's a thread woven through generations. My great grandparents carried the gift of music, including a concert pianist whose passion set the tone for creativity in our family. My biological father carried that forward has an incredible guitarist and record producer out of Manhattan, shaping sounds and stories in the city that never sleeps.
Some of my earliest and fondest memories are sitting beside my paternal grandmother as she played her baby grand piano in our family home with the sounds of the ocean crashing against the walls of the Battery in Charleston, SC.
For me, music has always been more than a pastime, it's an inheritance and a language. From writing songs to creating and collaborating with fellow musicians, friends and family, music continues to be one of the most authentic ways I express who I am.
